We hope everyone is counting their blessings and surviving this (semi) quarantined time we are living. We have made the decision to close our physical office and work remotely from our homes. Some time ago we began replacing obsolete desktop computers with laptops. With our recent change at the first of the year, we upgraded our phone systems and can take calls from anywhere. This puts us in the fortunate position to operate as usual in various challenging situations. If anyone feels they are missing out on the experience of pent-up teenagers or potty training a toddler let us know, we can send them your way! Our goal is to be back in the office together soon.
We have spoken with many of you and appreciate that you are calling and emailing. The response from our government is constantly updating and evolving. The response from our communities is heartening. Please know that we are here for you so don’t hesitate to reach out! 317-859-2502
“you want me to stay home?”
Yes, yes we do. You have likely seen the diagram below showing how social distancing “flattens the curve.”
It isn’t comfortable to be restricted. Many of you probably canceled Spring Break plans and long for the companionship of your friends. As this NPR article explains, it could make the difference between being uncomfortable for a short or very long period of time.
We want to thank the healthcare workers who are dedicating countless hours to healing the sick and working to contain the spread of COVID-19. Their efforts are nothing short of heroic and we appreciate them!
“But you also want me to turn off the tv?”
Yes, yes we do. Especially if what you are watching increases your fear and panic. Information is changing day-to-day, hour-by-hour and it takes time to digest. We don’t know what the coming weeks hold for the progress of the virus but we do know that we will be patient and intentional in the face of uncertainty. Otherwise, we encourage you to keep an eye on the news but balance with a walk in the sunshine, chatting on the phone with a friend, watching a funny movie or baking bread.

“nourish the body, nourish the soul”
Speaking of baking bread….if you have been to the grocery store lately you have experienced empty shelves. The good news is that producers are increasing output and grocers are amending open hours to restock shelves. Restaurants have been shifted to carry-out, drive-through or delivery only. This is the perfect time to get in the kitchen and see what you create! Sarah’s husband, Chef JJ, has a great recipe for white bread. (It is for the grill but will work in the oven as well!)
Sharing a meal is a great way to slow down and count your blessings. Our clients are a blessing to us, thank you for your partnership! Luck of the Irish to you!
