November 24, 2020 Update

November 24, 2020

Dear Clients,
2020 has surely been an unforgettable year. This week we are counting our blessings, for which we have many, including you! We send our best wishes for a safe and delicious holiday. As we sit around the table to give thanks this year, we will also remember those who are no longer with us. We send a special blessing to the families of our clients who lost a loved one in 2020.

Because of the rise in COVID-19 cases, we have decided to close the office to in person appointments until at least the first of the year, possibly beyond. We continue to be available via phone and Zoom, please reach out to schedule.

We haven’t sent a newsletter in a while (Ashlyn went back to college and Sarah got a little busy!) but we’re excited to roll out some new communications in 2021 and have added a new staff person who we’ll introduce in December. For now, we are sharing an annual favorite, Chef JJ’s turkey brine recipe, no more dry turkey for you!

RMD Reminder

As part of the CARES Act, the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from qualified assets (IRA, 401(k), 401(b), 457(b)) is voluntary for 2020, meaning you do not have to take a distribution this year. There are no repercussions and you do not have to make it up in another year. Please call us with any questions!
End of Year Deadlines

Roth IRA conversions and 529 contributions must be completed by 12/31/20. Please keep processing time in mind, we’ve seen longer delays than normal this year. Best practice is to mark your calendar for early in the month!
Happy Thanksgiving!
